Antje Attends the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being in Rome
08 November 2024
From November 4–6, 2024, Antje attended the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being in Rome. The Forum brought together policymakers, statisticians, academics, private sector experts, and civil society to advance societal action centered on equitable and sustainable well-being. Through high-level panels, technical workshops, and interactive discussions, participants explored how well-being approaches can address major global challenges like climate change, demographic shifts, and technological innovation.
Workshops covered topics such as financial inclusion, sustainable development, and integrating well-being into public and private decision-making. These sessions emphasized the importance of using multidimensional, people-focused evidence to break down policy silos, assess trade-offs, and foster collaborative solutions across sectors.
The Forum was also an excellent opportunity for networking. Antje met colleagues, including John F. Helliwell, editor of the World Happiness Report, and Talita Greyling, who will deliver a keynote address at the IAMO Forum 2025.
The event, held under Italy’s G7 Presidency, marked the 20th anniversary of the first OECD World Forum. It continues to drive the international agenda on well-being, emphasizing the need for inclusive, sustainable policies to build more resilient societies.
