RuWell moves to unsnarl the concept of place attachment through its explaratory fieldwork in Southeast Europe

02 March 2023

Our colleague Arjola recently presented an exciting fieldwork plan at our department meeting on behalf of the RuWell team. The plan is for an exploratory fieldwork activity in Southeast Europe aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of rural people's perception of the concept of place attachment and well-being. Albania has been chosen as the starting point, given its high level of rural out-migration and depopulation. The key objective is to unravel the complex concept of place attachment and gain insights into its dynamics in rural Southeast Europe. The results of this trip will be crucial in designing questionnaires for our major fieldwork activity later this year. We're excited to leverage Arjola’s expertise as we deliver yet another important project output. Stay tuned for more progress updates from us.
